Group project - family education and domestic violence

Family education has long been regarded as important part in children’s life. Parents have different way to teach their kids. However, there is no certain standard to define which kind of family education is right. Some people use strict punishment to discipline child, others believe in education of love. Still others mix both. No matter which way, they all have pros and cons. I think there are many factors influencing the type of parents’ education, such as child’s personality, family tradition, and economic situation and so on. Originally, it is considered to be private in each family. However, times change and relating laws formulated to protect victims under improper education. The whole society pays attention to this aspect of news. Still, there is ambiguous region existing in family education and violence.

In Qiao qiao’s case, her father uses a fierce way to teach her. He not only beat her but destroyed her beloved instrument. And even put pictures which Qiao qiao’s was crying on FB. I think this is quite bad and I suspect her father is a strange man. What is the meaning for this behavior? Did he want to show his power to beat her daughter? This way not only hurt child’s mind (and Qiao qiao is a celebrity) but arouses people to discuss his deed. I believe he is not the only one to do this. And I want to know what other parents think about this event.

Would you plan to study abroad?

NCU, Taiwan a Chinese student's fantastic experience in Taiwan

This semester, a group of China students entered NCU. Qin Yue Ying(秦月盈), one of them is my roommate. She comes from Xi’ An Jiao Tong University, majoring in Economics department in NCU.
Qin Yue Ying is exchange
student from China

Originally, Qin just wanted to accompany her friend who dreamed to study abroad. However, her friends failed to get the choice. As a result, Qin unexpectedly started a colorful life in Taiwan alone.
“Many girls like wearing black stockings!” This is her first impression about Taiwan girls. “In China, girls usually show naked legs” she recalled. Taiwan girls almost dress well and care more about their appearances.

“The library of my home school is full of students every day.” She said. On account of fierce competition in China, they strive to be exceptional among people. Taiwan students usually join club or go out together after class. However, China students concentrate on their schoolwork even future career.
Qin went to Feng Chia
nightmarket
Teacher type is also distinguishing. “My Taiwan teacher treats us like friends, I never had dinner with professor before.”
In addition to joining activities held by NCU. Qin also traveled many places in Taiwan such as Taipei101, Kaohsiung, Kenting, Feng Chia, Danshui, Mount ali. She praises delicious food and beautiful landscape. And she also have an enviable experience “I was so lucky to see many celebrities in person! they were so friendly” She ran into Ariel Lin, DesertsNicholas Teo, Jianning.

In this trip to Taiwan, Qin enjoys a wonderful life. Seeing NCU students’ enthusiasm, she gets a new perspective of collage – try to learn something of everything instead of study only. And she find herself truly a hot-blooded girl.
No matter what differences between Taiwan and China, they have the pros and cons respectively. In addition to experiencing distinguishing life style, students also learn to appreciate culture characteristics. It is the main purpose for youngsters to broaden their minds.
