Group plan- interview

The definition of discipline and mistreat
Our project is aimed to clarify the vague range between family education and domestic violence. There are official definitions about them (attached picture). In addition, we will interview parents how they think about Qiao- qaio’s case. Is it inappropriate? Or fierce? And what will they do if they face this situation. Then, we keep asking them preferring “affectionate education” or “steel discipline”. Now, our group has planned to interview professor An-kuo Tseng. We hope to find another one to be a comparison.
Is it better to teach children without punishment? I don’t think so. Children are too young to tell  fight from wrong. Sometimes, parents use punishment to let kids remember “forbidden” things. It can work and it is necessary in teaching. However, it can be easily abused. If parents don’t use it carefully, they will produce that so-called domestic violence. Few years ago, there is a controversy issue about Tiger Mother. She believes in steel discipline to train kid’s mind growing strong. Although she made it, many people suspect if this will hurt children’s personalities. i think it is the best to strike a balance in both ways. And we also plan to ask interviewees how they do it.
