Chinese students amaze at Taiwan culture!

There was once a piece of news, talking about China students those got strong impression after studying abroad in Taiwan.
They praise Taiwan students’ imaginative ideas and friendly attitude. Because of Chinese preservative education, they hardly can jump out of tradition bound to make a big breakthrough. Speaking of politics, Chinese also admire successful democracy in Taiwan.
This semester, there are a group of China students entering in NCU. Qin Yue Ying(秦月盈), one of them is my roommate. She comes from Xi’ An Jiao Tong University, majoring in Economics department in NCU. “The library of my home school is full of students every day.” She said. On account of fierce competition in China, they strive to be exceptional among people. Taiwan students usually join club or go out together after class. However, China students care more about their schoolwork even future career.
Teacher type is also distinguishing. “My Taiwan teacher treats us like friends, while China teachers not care about students like that.”
In this trip to Taiwan, Qin Yue Ying enjoys her colorful life. Seeing NCU students’ enthusiasm, she gets a new perspective of collage – try to learn something of everything instead of study only.
No matter what difference between Taiwan and China, they have the pros and cons respectively. The most important thing is applying experience to life. And Students are regarded as the best media to improve the relationship between the two regions.

  10. Taiwan is just a wonderful place, isn't it?
According to Professor Steve, he left his wallet in the bus, but to his surprise, he found it was still there when he took the same bus next day. I think not just Chinese students are impressed at Taiwan. Americans like Professor Steve love Taiwan especially because of friendly people and the peaceful environment.

Chinese students are more hard-working than Taiwanese students, maybe one day the position would change if Tainese still consider themselves superior--China turns to look down on us.

  12. When I was in high school, my teachers always says that students from mainland China are much more hard working than Taiwanese students. However, the things taught in China are not as free as Taiwan. Therefore, I think it is better if we adopt the good things from each other.
